Our professional tasting group is open to all the ritual involves a finely crafted beverage and a music listening session. Beverage Tastings & Music Listening Sessions

Saison Sundays are filled with conversation, music, and friends. I am a brewer working with yeast and wild fermentation. The tasting group has access to upcoming beer releases featuring rustic ales I've created or collected. Our brewery hosted collaboration events happen when beers are released.

The concept of critical listening is taken from Hi-Fi audio meetings with a group of audiophile enthusiasts. We meet monthly to share new music, enjoy analog sound, and chat all things vintage. Private gatherings are hosted by request.

Sobieski Sunday #82 — Jazzy and gentle setting the stage for restorative reflection.

I lived on this street in the 1980s my siblings and I would find adventure and mischief at every corner. Our neighborhood boarded a Polish community. We lived in passing making the corner store and the church an anchor called home. We recycled cans and collected coins from phonebooths. Making the rounds after school we afforded snacks or an occasional soda pop. The behind our house was a cemetery. Dog barks structured our dreams with haunted stories. These past lives shifted quickly empty streets would erupt with violence. Peace was overturned by the friction within the community. Times have changed. I return to this playlist like a homecoming. Memories form this street are cornerstones.

Simultaneous Presence — sound reassurance amid a tower moment.

Desperately in need of inspiration a moment of reflection can help us remain grounded. Physically engaged. The idea is to continue. To shift. To hearing oneself. The spirit opposite of fear. The brave side holding a connection to the material world. The music is arranged for this a sacred pause.

Sweet V&T 288 — vermouth and tonic a herbal remedy

A refreshing blast blending both a fortiefied ferment with bubbly healing. Fill a goblet with ice. Add 66 mL of sweet vermouth. Top with 222 mL of tonic water. Swirl to mix. Garnish with citrus.

Fast-Fashion Indie R&B — light spirited and happy.

A fresh take for a reset this collection of songs is soulful. The artists have a vibe that awakens contemporary blues with rhythm. The references dig deep with touches of dub chill. It's organic. Listen for fun. The message is reconciliation.

Allagash Brewing — 2021.02.25 - Curieux - barrel finished blended Tripel

Bottles found upright in a gas station cooler. A clear mystery all bottles are bright. The yeast has compacted. I am enjoying a clean pour. Aged golden ale. New oak in flavor low notes of bourbon aroma faint vanilla mid hightlights of candied sweetness. The finish is medium body. Whispers of low fusels as it warms. Let the bottle warm finish while listening. The next pour should contain cloudy yeast a scant of bitter.

Self-loving inner strength ignites brokenness. Humility is slain. Longing is displaced. The body. Fiery & fierce. Our lunar moon is full in pink. The supernatural goddess benight with empathy renews this body. The way it feels confident and strong is completely in-tune. Healing is embraced.

Marching On Water — A melodic experimental jazz journey with glimpses of soul.

This playlist explores the living inheritance of Black cultural sound. Listen closely. The songs speak consciously of a shared expression using touches of traditional music. I've integrated tunes offering a wealth of wisdom to transcend the burden of social constraint. The energy is highly spiritual a walk with elder musicians encouraging Black American hubris. We march on celebrating our birthright. We teach the next generation our people are continuously blessed.

Moisture Barrier — A danceable playlist with obscure vocal songs.

The concept is love themed centered on reconciliation, persistence, and surrender. I am wrestling to maintain artistic passion while the craft beer industry is shifting. The title references a thin building layer sheathing our homes from age and inclement weather. The tar-paper-thin-veil behind a home's facade is breathable. The moisture dries before it decays the interior. As people with lives filled with emotion we isolate, we cry, we go on. Life continues.

A rustic salad with crisp fruit, crushed bits, and cheese crumbles. The unassuming bag of chips preferably from a savory kettle makes a comfortable pairing.

Hostel Cereal — 2019.07.24 - white waxed. White peppercorn spiced sour ale.

A beer that has been around longer the base is sour ale with firm acidity. Prepare a healthy plate of pasta with a creamy sauce. This beer is designed for tart mouthwatering sensation. The second sip is best. Build a charcuterie board with jams, dried things, all things cheese, protein, and fruit. Take delight in exploring polarized combinations. This works well for longer settings while reading or entertaining. As the glass warms different notes are expressed.

An instrumental playlist with a boom bap vibe for New Year reflections. I've been surfing the net trying to get ahead of the algorithms. The composition is jazzy and meditative with a touch of Japanese chill. Great music for coffee shop conversations or working while coding. The popular songs lead the journey vibing almost without direction. The under radar artists are mixed in to create space. Airy beat drops against an overall pop tone.
